life

Every day is a new day. every day is another chance to do the things that give us the greatest joy, balance and grace. Sometimes, I write about what I’ve learned and my own experiences with moving. Sometimes it’s about the people I meet and their journeys to joy, balance and grace.

my own journey to more expansive, fluid, effortless movement has always been based in pure curiosity and a dream that I could. For so long I could barely move and when I did, there was always pain or frustration followed by sadness. Daily discovery is literally about discovering how I move differently today than yesterday. With every discovery comes reflection that often translates into class plans for my clients. From nothing to something big – that’s me and you and everybody. I believe that. We can do this.

I like to call the muscles from the posterior pelvis (sacrum) up and out through the posterior deltoids, our angel wings. They […]

flow-building toward tripod side plank

I didn’t realize earlier this year, when I embarked on strengthening my posterior chain – especially inner thigh and hamstrings, gaining access to them and learning how to use them (I never really had before in my life!), together with the quads, that sideline and unilateral work would come in hot right behind it all. […]
